Tropical Storm Alberto Forms

Belize City is not the only area under an advisory.  The first Tropical Storm for this hurricane season has formed over the Gulf of Mexico.  While Chief MET Officer, Ronald Gordon noted that the rains over Belize will not come from Alberto, weather experts say the tropical storm will bring rains and gusty winds over Tampico, Mexico and Brownsville, Texas, USA.  According to the US National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Alberto will be short-lived as it will make landfall in eastern Mexico tomorrow morning.  It is predicted that Alberto will fall apart quickly after landfall over Mexico’s mountainous terrain
