Two men are left injured following a motorcycle accident in San Lazaro Village, Orange Walk District. According to police reports, the two men were travelling on the road when the driver lost control and ran into a tree. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvette, gave us more details.

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch: “Police were called to the Northern Regional Hospital where upon arrival they observed two male persons namely Jose Yam, 18 years and Artemio Yam, 22 years. What the police know so far is that the older of the Yams, Artemio, was driving his black motorcycle towards the direction of San Lazaro Village from August Pine Ridge when he seemingly lost control, we believe from the initial information we receive, causing both to be injured. Jose Yam receiving the more severe part of those injuries because he ended up with his left foot below the knee being amputated during the accident. Police are investigating this matter.”
