Two Men Remanded for Gang Affiliation Charges in Belize

TWO men have been remanded to the Belize Central Prison on charges of gang affiliation.  Twenty-six-year-old Mervin Martin both stands accused of being a member of the Jerusalem Barn Yard Crips, (JBYC), while Alrick Lamb, stands accused of being a member of the Antelope Horse and Carriage One Slap Clique. Both men pleaded not guilty to their charges. Martin was remanded until September 13, while Lamb was remanded until September 8. Under the Laws of Belize, those charged with gang affiliation cannot obtain bail until after a 90-day mandatory remand.
