Two men shot in Belize City

Two men were shot on Friday night just after seven o’clock in Belize City.  The victims, 22-year-old Lemar Lamb and 21-year-old Daniel Lopez were standing on Neal’s Pen Road when they were approached by two male persons who opened fire in their direction.

Two men were shot on Friday night just after seven o’clock in Belize City.  The victims, 22-year-old Lemar Lamb and 21-year-old Daniel Lopez were standing on Neal’s Pen Road when they were approached by two male persons who opened fire in their direction. According to Senior Superintendent of Police, Hilberto Romero, no one has been detained following the shooting incident.

Senior Superintendent, Hilberto Romermo, Deputy Head, Crimes Investigation Branch of Belize: “Police responded to a shooting incident on Neal’s Pen Road where a report was received that two persons had been shot. They visited the KHMH where they found Lemar Lamb and Daniel Lopez with gunshot injuries. They were admitted to the KHMH in stable condition. Investigations revealed that they were hanging out when a male person came and fired shots at then. Investigators are following up on leads right now to determine what caused this shooting.”

According to a source, Lamb was a hardworking man who went to work in the mornings and came back by 6. He would associate with his friends after work but never caused any trouble with anyone.
