Two More Suspects Charged in Gabriel Tillett’s Murder; Denied Bail

Two more suspects charged in connection with the killing of 18-year-old Gabriel Tillett were arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today. Twenty-three-year-old Robert Lamb and twenty-six-year-old Kevin Lanza, appeared in court before Chief Magistrate Jayani Wegodapola. The men were only read a single charge of murder but could not enter a plea because the matter will be handled on indictment in the High Court of Belize. Bail was denied and they were remanded to the Belize Central Prison until September 7. The duo now joins twenty-eight-year-old Samuel Trapp who was the first to be charged with Tillett’s murder on Friday, July 7. Trapp was also remanded until September 7. Tillett’s body was found at the Lord Ridge Cemetery with various injuries on the morning of Tuesday, July 4.
