A 17-year-old young man is alleging brutality at the hands of a police officer. Isaiah Wilson, a Belmopan resident says that he was attacked by a police officer earlier today for not wearing a face mask. Wilson told Love News that even after he went back home to get his mask the officer physically attacked him and threatened to shoot him. Video footage at the store where the altercation occurred shows the officer grabbing Wilson in a chokehold. Wilson spoke to Love News on record and stated that the police told him that today is not the day to be messing with him.
There is another report of police brutality coming out of the west. A 36-year-old construction worker has claimed that he was beaten by an officer attached to the Roaring Creek Police Station while he was detained.
