Police in Punta Gorda are laying charges against two men in connection with a recent murder in that municipality. We join our Toledo Correspondent, Paul Mahung for the details.
“Two persons were charged with murder in connection in connection with a recent murder incident in the Toledo District. Officer in Command of the Toledo Police Formation Assistant Superintendent of Police Clement Cacho confirmed that of the four persons that were detained in connection with the incident two were taken to the Punta Gorda Magistrate Court where they were read charges of murder by Magistrate Emerson Banner.”
“In reference to the chopping death of Mr.Francisco Ack that occurred on the 18th of June 2016 in San Benito Poite Village in the Toledo District Punta Gorda police have formally arrested and charged one Gilberto Coc, 19 years a Belizean farmer of that village along with David Tush 18 years also a farmer of the said village jointly for the murder of Francisco Ack. They have been formally arraigned before the court and have been remanded into custody until the 17th of August.”
“Francisco Ack lived with his wife and five children in San Benito Poite Village located 42.5 miles out of Punta Gorda in rural Toledo.”
