Two teenagers were charged in relation to the murder of 43-year-old Shane Budram, including his own nephew. 19-year-old Kareem Eagan along with 19-year-old Raheem Budram was jointly charged with the murder of Budram. The duo was arraigned before Senior Magistrate, Aretha Ford in Court where they were explained that the charge of murder is an indictable offense, so the magistrate will not be taking a plea. At a given time, the prosecutor will provide them with the disclosure in the matter where a PI will be held. If there is sufficient evidence, their case will be committed to stand trial and that’s where a plea will be taken from them. Due to the nature of the offense, no bail could be offered and both teenagers were remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until April 30. Allegations are that Budram was at his home on Wagner’s Lane, Belize City, with some family members when he got into an argument with the shooter. Shots were fired and Budram died on the way to the hospital.
