UDP Constituencies Were Also Aided through Constituency Development Fund

This weekend the Belize District was bustling with Area Representatives visiting their constituents to provide post-hurricane support. And, this included members of the Opposition.  During a Zoom interview with Prime Minister, John Briceño, commented that GOB allocated monies through the constituency development fund to help those affected by the hurricane. He added that a report will be required from each member.

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister of Belize: “I did speak with the Leader of the Opposition and we have issued through the constituency development fund the monies to everybody including members of the opposition. Everybody has to give account and if there is any other more monies that we’re going to give they have to give account for what they have gotten so far like what we do every month. We give them monies every month but before they get the following month money they have to give a fully accounting as to how these monies have been spent and obviously this also applies.”
