UDP Leader says he believes in fair play for the sugar industry

Also weighing in on the sugar debate is the Leader of the Opposition, Moses “Shyne” Barrow. He was in Belmopan today, witnessing how the day unfolded. One of the things that the BSCFA has complained about is the unfairness of the profit-sharing split between them and the miller, BSI/ASR. The farmers have demanded that BSI/ASR reveal accurate numbers, particularly as it relates to the Net Stripped Value. Barrow says he supports the farmers on this issue and has called for honest bargaining to ensure this vital industry continues to flourish.
