A Catholic nun has lost her fight to Covid-19. Sister Maria “Mary of Merciful Love” Medina of the Society of our Lady of the most Holy Trinity (SOLT) had returned from the United States on Tuesday, July 20 and had gone into voluntary isolation. Two days later, she began feeling unwell and was subsequently tested positive for Covid-19. Her condition worsened and she was taken to the KHMH were she passed away on Saturday, August 7. Love News understands that Sister Maria, an American national, was asthmatic and had not received the vaccine. She had arrived in Benque Viejo del Carmen Town four years ago and had only turned 36-years-old on July 2.
