His posts and adverts on social media bring the party quote “in disrepute and undermines the rebuilding process [the UDP] must undertake to form the next Government.” That’s what the UDP said of former Press Secretary Delroy Cuthkelvin, who has been criticizing the current party leader Moses Shyne Barrow in a series of adverts on his Facebook page. And now those adverts have trigged an official complaint and possibly an appearance by Cuthkelvin before the party’s ethics committee. Party Chairman Michael Peyrefitte spoke briefly on the situation today.
Cuthkelvin took to Facebook last week saying “Ethics committee? What ethics committee? What is unethical? Telling the truth or lying about the Village Council Elections? Condemning corruption or taking money from convicted criminals like Lev Dermen and Danny Mason? Spending your life serving the Party or service time in jail for gun violence? For God’s sake, stop it!” End quote.
