UNDP Donates Laptops to Police Prosecutors to Enhance Case Management

As part of the PACE Justice Project, nine laptops were donated to police prosecutors to improve case management, research, and communication. The laptops were handed over by Michael Lund, Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP, and Amilin Mendez, Team Lead at UNDP, to Deputy Police Commissioner Bartholomew Jones and Alifa Elrington, Head of the Prosecution Branch. The project is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It aims to modernize the workflow of police prosecutors by providing improved access to legal information, better data organization and reduced administrative delays, which will help expedite criminal case resolutions.  Additionally, the project introduced vLex, an advanced legal research platform, to the Police Prosecution Unit. The tool gives 31 prosecutors access to a vast online library of case law, legislation, and legal commentary, allowing for faster, more accurate research. ////
