United Nations agencies unite under one roof in Belize capital Belmopan

The United Nations’ agencies in Belize will now be operating under one roof, after its offices were officially inaugurated in the capital city, Belmopan.  The offices are on the second floor of the David L. Mckoy building at the Bliss Parade. The inauguration took place on Friday, April 14 in the presence of Prime Minister John Briceno and the UN Resident Coordinator to Belize and El Salvador, Birgit Gerstenberg.  Occupying the offices of the second floor of the David L. Mckoy Business Center will be the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator (UNRCO), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the GEF Small Grants Programme, IOM, UNICEF, and the UNFPA.  The offices for PAHO/WHO will continue to be housed in Belize City while UNHCR remains on Marigold Street, Belmopan
