Urgent Search Underway for Ten Missing Girls Believed Victims of Human Trafficking; Belize Border Points on High Alert

Ten young girls between the ages of ten and eighteen are being sought tonight as they are believed to be victims of a human trafficking ring.  Love News understands that all Port Commanders in the Ministry of Immigration have been placed on high alert in the event the girls pass through any of Belize’s border points.  The girls, who went missing from Zone 1 in Guatemala City, are believed to be in the company of a man identified as Yoel Malka, a 37-year-old, Israeli national.  Missing persons’ bulletins were issued for all the young ladies on January 19 in Guatemala.  Tonight, authorities believe that the girls could be in Belize and as such the alert issued to port commanders has instructed that joint checkpoints be erected across the country.  The notice continues, indicating that Malka may be heading south.  Malka is believed to be one of the heads of a criminal ring in Guatemala.  Our newsroom is following this story and will report on its developments.
