Turning away from the politics, we move to some crime news: Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that claimed the life of a salesman from the Valley of Peace Village this morning. Fifty-five-year-old Vicente Orlando Claranza Orellano was fatally shot just after eight o’clock on a road located about a mile and a half behind Saint Margaret Village, Hummingbird Highway. Love News understands that Orellano, also known as Cholan, and his wife were traveling in Orellano’s white Isuzu truck to Awe’s Land to buy vegetables. Upon reaching a hill at a curve, he was confronted by four to five robbers who demanded money. Orellano apparently pulled out a machete and a struggle ensued between him and one of the assailants, resulting in him being shot to the body. Orellano died inside his truck and his body now lies at the Western Regional Hospital awaiting a post mortem. The robbers made good their escape. Love News tried to speak to the family to get a comment, but they declined.
