Volleyball Referees Undergo Training for National Championships

Volleyball referees participated in an intense training over the weekend in preparation for the upcoming national men’s and women’s championships. The training hosted by the Belize Volleyball Association included theory and practical elements, with referees from across the country in attendance. Allan Sharp, President of the Belize Volleyball Association, says that a major component of the training was the new digital score sheet for the refs. Sharp said that the digital score sheet has been used internationally for the past few years so now national games will be following suit. 

The National Women’s Volleyball Championships are being held in Spanish Lookout from Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16. The Men’s National Championships are scheduled for February 21 to 23.
