A family in the Toledo District are concerned over the whereabouts of their relative who has been missing for a few days. Toledo Correspondent Paul Mahung reports.
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: An adult male person last seen in Punta Gorda on Christmas Eee has been reported missing. Family member Samaria Sanchez spoke to Love News.
Samaria Sanchez, Niece: “He is my uncle and his name is Domingo Reymundo Ramos and we went and investigated with the lady that last- a female friend and she told us that she had seen him on the 24th of December the last time she saw him, that was the 24th and we went and figured around and that was about the time he went missing and he says he was going to Boom Creek but he never reached Boom Creek anymore so we didn’t see him from then on and we started investigating and found out that he was nowhere. We called all about, he has family in Orange Walk, Cayo, Corozal all those places they hadn’t seen him, even in Bella Vista he has his three children live in Bella Vista and they haven’t seen him. They checked, they went to Bella Vista, they asked about and no one saw him there.”
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Was this matter reported to the PG police ?
Samaria Sanchez, Niece: “Yes we went on Saturday January 4th and gave in a missing person report and it was reported to the police on Saturday 4th. “
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Tell us something about his features, describe his physical build.
Samaria Sanchez, Niece: “He is 5’6″ in height, he is fair skin with light brown eyes and he has black hair, a little bit streaked with grey. He is 52-years-old and the last time we saw him he had on a blue shirt and a long black grey jeans pants.”
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Is he a family person?
Samaria Sanchez, Niece: “Yes he is a family person, he is a very easy going person, not a person who seems to get in trouble because he is a very calm person; we wouldn’t say he’s a trouble maker.”
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Anything in the family’s mind what could have happened to him?
Samaria Sanchez, Niece: “Well we’re not really sure, we hope that he is okay but by now he is a person who doesn’t usually go out and not tell my mom where he is going so now we are thinking anything could have happened to him by this time now. So we are trying to look for where he is, search all around, if anybody hears anything or sees anything or a person we would like to hear about it just try to inform us even Facebook we have his pictures on Facebook so we would really appreciate if the people would help us.”
Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Boom Creek Village where Domingo was expected on Christmas Eve night is located some seven miles by road from Punta Gorda and family members were not able to contact him by phone as he does not have one. 52-year-old Domingo Reymundo Jose Ramos, a construction worker in Punta Gorda remains missing and anyone with information on his whereabouts can kindly contact the nearest police station or his sister Lucia Sanchez at phone number 668-1532.
