Will the PUP Keep Commissioner Chester Williams if Re-Elected? Kareem Musa Weighs In

Will the Briceno Administration seek to replace the Commissioner of Police Chester Williams if re-elected? Yesterday, the media asked his political boss, Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa. Williams has now been serving in the capacity for the last six years, becoming the longest cop to do so since Allen Whylie. In January 2019, Williams was selected by the Barrow Administration to take over the department. So, would the PUP replace Williams or keep him in the position? Musa says he doesn’t see a reason Williams would be moved.

Williams has indicated that he doesn’t plan on retiring anytime soon.
