Reports have surfaced that the Lands Department has installed a new Chief Executive Officer in the name of Neldy Tulcey. There has been no official announcement on this change in the Ministry of Natural Resources. In a follow up with Minister Cordel Hyde, he conceded that his CEO is leaving office.
Cordel Hyde, Minister of Natural Resources: “We don’t have a new CEO just yet. Our former CEO well Dr.Lesbia Guerra’s contract was only for one year. It expires in a couple weeks time at that point we will make an announcement in the meantime the Cabinet Secretary is holding over as the CEO.”
Reporter: So what about the reports of Tulcey is there any truth ? Any possibility to that?
Cordel Hyde, Minister of Natural Resources: “Can you wait until we make the announcement ? We’ll do that soon.”
Reporter: Is there also any truth to the report of Dr.Guerra moving over to the Ministry of Health ?
Cordel Hyde, Minister of Natural Resources: “I’m not sure. I would imagine that’s a distinct possibility, she is a medical doctor after all that’s where her expertise is and he’s a public servant so that’s a possibility but I can’t say directly what’s the case there. That would have to be worked out with the Prime Minister.”
Accompanying the reports of Tulcey being poised to take over as the CEO at the Lands Department, were complaints on her lacking in education qualifications to fill the post. Our newsroom will keep following this story.
