While William Danny Mason and his associates have all been found guilty for the murder of Pastor Llewellyn Lucas, they still have the charge of kidnapping to answer to in court. All the men, except Terrence Fernandez, returned to court this morning. Another man, Ryan Rhaburn, was also in court to answer to the kidnapping charge. Today’s court session was geared at case management but that didn’t happen as there were multiple setbacks. Attorney Norman Rodriguez, who represents Ashton Vanegas, explained that three of the five defendants were unrepresented. Notably, one of the unrepresented defendants was Mason himself, who was previously represented by Guyanese attorney, Dexter Todd.
Ryan Rhaburn was represented by Simeon Sampson. Mason took this morning’s hearing to request full disclosure while he seeks a new attorney. Hearing the matter is Justice Francis Cumberbatch. The case was adjourned to Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
