A woman and her teenage kids were hospitalized after her ex-boyfriend stabbed them repeatedly. 36-year-old Rebecca Munoz has been separated from the assailant for about a year, but that did not stop him from paying a visit to their home in San Jose, Orange Walk District. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett stated that they are still seeking the suspect.

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch: “What the police know so far is that they were at their home when Rebecca was approached by her ex common-law husband who inflicted several stab wounds to her and in the process while her children attempted to intervene both also received stab wounds. They have all been treated and released from the Northern Regional Hospital whilst police are seeking Isau Ramirez Lopez, a Guatemalan National pending this investigation.”

The nature of the dispute is not known to police. Munoz’s children are 17 and 15.
