Woman Faces Charges After Allegedly Stabbing Common-Law Husband During Heated Argument in San Pedro

A 21-year-old woman is facing possible criminal charges after she allegedly stabbed her common-law-husband in the chest. The woman, who is a cook by occupation, told Police that on Saturday, November 9, she and her partner were socializing at their home in the DFC Area in San Pedro Town. She noted that whilst socializing, Stewart Peters accused her of being unfaithful which escalated into an argument. The argument escalated even further when Peters allegedly punched the woman in her face who then retaliated and stabbed him in the chest. The 42-year-old husband was airlifted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City for further medical attention. Investigators had canvassed the crime scene on Seagrape Drive and gathered several pieces of evidence including two kitchen knives. Charges are yet to be levied against the woman.
