Woman Slapped with Fine for Stabbing Ex-Lover

A woman was given a slap on the wrist in court today after she confessed to stabbing her ex-lover.  31-year-old, Stephani Michelle Wagner, reportedly went to the workplace of Glenroy Fitzgibbon, armed with a kitchen knife and got into a scuffle with him, and stabbed him.  Fitzgibbon reported the matter to the Domestic Violence Unit (DVU) and requested court action.  As a result, Wagner was charged with aggravated assault.  She appeared in court today and was fined three hundred and five dollars which she is to pay by April 2.  The backstory is that Fitzgibbon told the children he shares with Wagner that they might be expecting a sibling soon.  Wagner was upset at the situation, and subsequently approached Fitzgibbons at his job site at Western Dairies on the Philip Goldson Highway.  While Wagner was let off easy, Chief Magistrate Jayani Wegodapola, warned her to leave her ex-common-law husband alone, and that should she appear in court again there will be no leniency.
