Woman Stabbed in Lord’s Bank Home Invasion, Police Search for Attacker

Police are also investigating a case of aggravated burglary that took place in Lord’s Bank on Saturday morning. Twenty-four-year-old Shania Jergerson told police that around five o’clock, she was in her room upstairs when she heard a noise coming from downstairs. When she went to check what it was, she was attacked by a man she identified as Phillip Guzman. During the encounter Jergenson was stabbed, and Guzman fled the scene. Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero said that Guzman is still at large.

A.C.P. Hilberto Romero, Regional Commander, Eastern Division: “On the 5th day of October 2024 Ladyville police responded to an aggravated burglary report at Carnation Street in Lords Bank. Upon their arrival Samia Jergenson reported that she was at home when she noticed that someone was inside her house. There was a struggle with the male person who then inflicted injuries to Jergenson with a knife and some scratches. Thereafter the male person fled from the area as the complainant came out on the street to ask for help. Investigation was carried out and Phillip Guzman is waned for aggravated assault.”

We note that Guzman appears in our news archives, being charged with theft of a motorcycle back in 2023.
