Women and men speak about methods to tackle domestic violence in Belize

Wingspan Seminar along with No More Breaking hearts held a domestic violence seminar with men and women in Belize. The purpose is to bring together representatives from No More Broken Hearts and other local organizations to discuss best practices and common challenges they face as it relates to domestic violence.

Wingspan Seminar along with No More Breaking hearts held a domestic violence seminar with men and women in Belize. The purpose is to bring together representatives from No More Broken Hearts and other local organizations to discuss best practices and common challenges they face as it relates to domestic violence. According to Wingspan’s CEO, Priscilla Dames Blake, for many years she has desired to offer conflict resolution or relative training in a developing country.

Blake went on to highlight some of the negative effects that domestic violence has and explained that children are the ones most affected.

Priscilla Blake announced that they have partnered with the Women’s Department to host the seminar next year. Next year’s seminar will focus on educating women how to become entrepreneurs in Belize.
