Yemeri Grove and Laguna Land Issues Can Be Resolved Through Dialogue Says Minister Requena

Residents of Yemeri Grove Village and Laguna Village in southern Belize have expressed their concerns over the ongoing land surveying activities in the area. According to the villagers, the Toledo West Area Representative, Oscar Requena, has been carrying out the surveying of the land in order to use the area for housing development. The villagers have raised concerns that this could potentially have a negative impact on their way of life. In response to these concerns, Minister Requena has stated that the issues raised by the villagers can be resolved through dialogue.
