Young girls in the south participate in Love Foundation’s “Let Girls Learn!”

Young girls from across Stann Creek and Toledo Districts participated in a weekend workshop. It’s under the Love Foundation’s “Let Girls Learn” initiative. The idea is to teach them critical leadership skills while at the same time creating safe spaces for girls to express and meaningfully deal with their emotions. Managing Director of the organisation, Deborah Sewell spoke to Harry Arzu on the Dangriga leg of the weekend program.

Like the young women in Dangriga, the participants in Peini examined various topics. Senior Correspondent Paul Mahung spoke to the workshop’s facilitators and one of the participants about how this can change lives.

The program has the support of the Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize and the Rotary.
