A young male jaguar was found dead this morning in southern Belize. The large cat was found in the Kendal Bridge area near Maya Center Village. Preliminary reports indicated that the jaguar was intentionally killed for one of its teeth. However, an eyewitness says that contrary to those reports the jaguar was hit by a sixteen-wheeler truck after it came running out of the bushes.
Love News made several attempts to contact the Forest Department who was informed of the matter but our efforts were to no avail.
