Youth Training Program Concludes in Stann Creek, Graduates Receive Certification

Dozens of youths from the Stann Creek District recently completed an eight-week job training course. The program sought to provide the participants with valuable skills and knowledge needed for the workforce. The Department of Youth Services partnered with local businesses in the south and placed the participants in various fields. Today, the department’s course came to an end, with the participants being certified by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Transport. Our newsroom was there for the event and spoke to the Minister of Youth, Sports, and Transport, Rodwell Ferguson, about the project.

Our newsroom also spoke to Dangriga Area Representative Dr. Louis Zabaneh about the venture and how he believes it will translate into economic growth for the south.

Over a hundred people country-wide participated in the training last year.
