YWCA Belize Elects New Board of Directors for 2024/2025 Term

The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) Belize has elected its new 15-member Board of Directors for the period, 2024/2025. Lurleen Betson Gamboa is now serving as President with Phillipa Sebastian Cadle as the First Vice President and Jennifer Smith as the Second VP. The treasurer of the board is Marilyn Ordonez and the secretary is Jenean Sabal. The board comprises of nine directors, namely, Margaret Rose Williams, Leni Ysaguirre McGann, Sheryl Terry, Jennifer Cayetano, Bernadette Ellis, Marsha Castillo Price, Aria Sylvestre, Danae Hutchinson, Leah Enriquez. The immediate Past President is Jacqui Santos Locke while the ex-officio member is the General Secretary, Diane Haylock. The election took place during the organization’s Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, June 27, under the theme “YWCA: Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers, Blossoming Women and Community.”
