UB Warns Public About Fraudulent Social Media Post Offering Free Courses

The University of Belize (UB) is advising the public that there is a fraudulent social media post circulating, purporting that UB is offering free online courses. The fraudulent post advertised that the free courses began on July 11 and that qualified persons would receive a free laptop. Gracie Carrillo, Marketing and Communications Director at UB explained that the university has had to address such fraudulent posts several times in the past. She urged that the public only adhere to information issued by UB via its official pages and email addresses.

Carrillo encouraged the public to direct questions about enrollment to the admissions department.
