NEMO Mobilizes Resources to Assist Flood-Affected Communities Nationwide

The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) has activated its teams and deployed resources nationwide to assist those affected by recent floods. According to the organization, with support from the Belize Defence Force (BDF) and Belize Coast Guard (BCG), it is assisting residents of Flowers Bank, Rancho Dolores, and Crooked Tree using vehicles and vessels. Regional teams are assessing flood-affected areas, distributing immediate humanitarian aid, and conducting assessments of roads, bridges, and ferries nationwide. NEMO says its coordinators maintain close communication with river monitors, community leaders, and local authorities to assess and update water levels.
