Belize Tourism Board Explores European Market to Boost Tourism Industry

The Ministry of Tourism and the Belize Tourism Board are working to bolster the tourism industry by tapping into the European market. The BTB recently sent a team to meet with tourism stakeholders in Germany with the hopes of attracting more visitors. Lloyd Enriquez, Director of Cruise and Capacity Development with the BTB said that, currently, the bulk of tourists coming to Belize are from the United States, and that the industry may need some adjustment to accommodate visitors from Germany. 

Enriquez added that 2024 is projected to be a record-breaking year for tourism in Belize and no efforts are being spared to make it happen.
