Accident Claims Life in Toledo District

A man is dead, and another is injured following a road traffic incident on the Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway in the Toledo District. Around 9:10 pm, 54-year-old Lucio Makin and 20-year-old Alvaro Cucul were traveling in a pickup truck when Makin lost control near Indian Creek Village, causing it to flip and land in bushes off the road. The impact killed Cucul and injured Makin, who was taken to the Punta Gorda Community Hospital for medical attention. The men are residents of Golden Stream Village.
