Another family in western Belize is reeling from the effects of a fire that gutted their home. On June 1, a fire broke out at the home of 24-year-old Jenessa Cruz in Roaring Creek Village, Cayo District while her two kids were inside. Cruz says she was at work in Cotton Tree Village when she learned of the fire and rushed back to the village. Fortunately, Cruz’s cousins had already rescued the kids when she arrived, but her house was reduced to ashes. The mother of two is now seeking the public’s assistance to rebuild the structure. She spoke to Love News yesterday about the ordeal and why she believes it could have been far worse.
If you are willing and able to assist Cruz, she can be reached at 625-6548.
