The National Assembly announced today that it has published three administrative planning tools to guide developments within the Legislature for the period 2024-2030. Following an administrative review of the National Assembly last year, political and parliamentary consultant Anthony Staddon, conducted stakeholder consultations as well as reviewed several reports coming out of the National Assembly, to aid with the development of the planning tools. Kishan Khoday, UNDP Resident Representative for Belize said quote, “It is with no doubt that these three tools will contribute to strengthening the capacity and functionality of Belize’s National Assembly promoting transparency and efficiency with a people-centered approach.” House Speaker Valerie Woods also said that the tools will serve to bring about a more progressive and modern parliament for Belize.
