Before we move onto other business, as trivial as seating may seem to some during a House Meeting, it really isn’t. Traditionally, the one who sits beside the leader is considered the second most powerful in the party. In the UDP’s case it is the member for Corozal North, Hugo Patt who has been given that seat, while member from Queen’s Square who does not attend House meetings has the third seat reserved for he. Both Faber and Panton have been placed to the far end of the row. According to Barrow, it is unacceptable that Faber and Panton are still declaring themselves UDPs whilst they have a new organization, namely, the Alliance for Democracy. In the house, however, Faber shrugged if off, saying it really doesn’t matter where he sits.
