PM Briceño reiterates position on general elections

During the State of the Nation address, Prime Minister, John Briceno, delivered a speech that raised eyebrows and led to widespread speculation. Among his announcements were a series of new promises that left many wondering whether this was a precursor to an early general election.  For months, rumors have swirled about the possibility of the Prime Minister pulling the trigger on an early election. His comments, however, appeared to put an end to the speculation, at least for now. 

General elections are slated for November 2025 but can be called earlier.
