Xunantunich Archeological Reserve Closed Until October 14 Due to Road Work

The Institute of Archeology/National Institute of Culture and History (IA/NICH) has issued a public advisory informing tour operators, tour guides and the general public of an extended closure of the Xunantunich Archeological Reserve. The delay follows an announcement from the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) regarding setbacks in road upgrades near the reserve due to ongoing inclement weather conditions. The reserve will remain closed until October 14.
