There was a meeting today between the Executive Council of the National Trade Union Congress of Belize and Prime Minister John Briceno. The union issued a very brief release with no report on the issues discussed, only to say that the meeting was amicable and fruitful. Love News understands, however, that one of the matters on the table is the removal of the union rep from the board of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Authority. The best information is that the government might be reconsidering its position. The meeting took place at around ten o’clock at the Prime Minister’s Office inside the Eleanor Hall Building in Belize City.
