MIDH Begins Urgent Street Repairs in Southern Belize After Heavy Rains

Remedial works are being conducted on streets in several areas in the south, following the damage sustained by the recent rains. The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) deployed teams to Dangriga Town and surrounding villages earlier this week, to conduct the repairs. More crews and other heavy equipment are expected to be deployed to the area over the weekend. Area Representative Dr. Louis Zabaneh said that the road works were being done in collaboration with the Dangriga Town Council.

The MIDH also deployed crews to northern and western Belize to address damaged infrastructure for village water systems
