Benque Viejo Searches for New Bus Terminal Location Amid Safety Concerns

Area Representative Jorge Melin Espat is currently on a mission to identify a location for a new bus terminal for Benque Viejo del Carmen, Cayo District. Yesterday, we reported on the proposed plans by Mayor Jorge Rosales to have the terminal moved to La Cancha area.  It is a proposal that has raised concerns among parents and residents due to the potential risks it poses for students in the area. La Cancha is a central point in the town that is in close proximity to the Mount Carmel High School.  Love News has been reliably informed that Espat has been conducting site visits in the municipality with a plan to locate a conducive area for the terminal.  We further understand that the preferred location is for an area on the outskirts of town.
