Police responded to the incident last night near mile 47, near the intersection of NEMO Drive in the area of El Rancho Restaurant. When the authorities responded to the scene, the driver of the 2025 Chevy Camaro was nowhere to be found.  Inside the vehicle, however, Police found documents belonging to one 27-year-old Jose Eliberto Mendez while the vehicle title was found in the name of Leli Mendez.  Reports say that Jose Mendez was seen exiting the vehicle and jumping over the road rails into the bushes.  Up to news time tonight, he is yet to be located.  Love News understands that the crash occurred just after seven o’clock last night.  According to 70-year-old, Manuel Juarez he was heading towards Cotton Tree when he saw the Chevy Camaro coming in the opposite direction at a high speed.  He noted that the next thing he remembered was feeling a sudden impact and then he went unconscious.  Juarez was in his grey 1999 Toyota pickup truck and was taking home his employee, 50-year-old Maria Caal Xi when the incident occurred.  Police say that Xi was motionless and trapped inside the vehicle when they arrived at the scene.  Her son, Samuel Caal, is in distress at the sudden death of his mom.  He is calling for justice.

Samuel Caal, Son of Victim: “My mother was a hard working person. She tried her best and she’s a loving mom, a hard working one. She left seven of us and right now we don’t know what will happen. We don’t know exactly what to do but only God will take care of her and she will rest in peace. We just want justice and make the law take care of whoever has the fault because I don’t wish anybody to lose their mommy like that. I received a message that my mother had an accident and I thought she was just injured but when we reached to the scene the guy that crashed with the pickup that my mom was in the guy ran away and he was in the car and we don’t know exactly who he is but we hope the law does the best investigation.”

Love News understands that the driver of the Chevy Camaro remains wanted by the Police.
