Burnt remains of a drug plane found in southern Belize

Tonight, there is no official report coming out of the Belize Police Department, but sources have indicated that a suspected narco plane was found burnt earlier this week.  The empty aircraft was reportedly found in the village of Graham Creek, Toledo District, and is believed to have brought in drugs upon its landing.  This is the second suspected drug plane to have landed in the south for this year.  The first reported incident was on March 2when the burnt remains of an aircraft was found near our border with Guatemala in the south.  In similar fashion, the vessel had no trace of cargo.  The deep south of the country, proves to be challenging for authorities to access, making it easier for the drug planes to make its landing.  Just before Christmas last year, there was another landing near the village of Dolores, also in the Toledo District.  As we noted, Police have been quiet on this recent drug plane.
