Murder and Robbery Down in First Half of 2025, Says Home Affairs Minister

The Minister of Home Affairs, Kareem Musa, says the crime rate has lowered in the past six months.  The COMPSTAT presentation took place this morning at the Police Training Academy where the statistics were shown to the media.  According to the numbers, the crimes of murder, robbery and burglary were all significantly lowered when compared to January to June last year.  Minister Musa did note, however, that the police are monitoring the north which has become a challenging area due to the presence of cartel operatives and operations.
