Elections Department Reminds Voters to Review and Object to List Where Necessary

The Elections and Boundaries Department is reminding Belizeans of their right to review the national voters’ list and raise objections where necessary, as part of the country’s democratic process. In an official notice, the Department outlined that all persons registered as electors within their respective electoral divisions, including Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize District, Cayo, Stann Creek, and Toledo, may file an objection to the retention of any name entered in the register prior to September 30.  Electors who wish to object must do so using Form 14A of the Fifth Schedule to the Representation of the People Registration Rules. These objections must be submitted to the registering officer of their electoral division on or before November 1.
