Bandits target delivery man in armed robbery out west

A delivery man was injured during an armed robbery this morning near the Cayo CET in San Ignacio Town, Cayo. According to reports, 32-year-old Kevin Simpson was on his way to make a bank deposit when a vehicle advanced toward him, and three masked men exited. The bandits demanded that Simpson hand over what he had before hitting him in the head and firing a single gunshot. The culprits then fled the area escaping with a deposit bag belonging to Simpson’s employer, which contained cash and cheques. Simpson was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital where he received medical attention. Police investigations continue
