Belize attends the 41st Assembly of the ICAO 6th Plenary meeting

A delegation from the Ministry of Civil Aviation is currently in Montreal, Canada for the 41st Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization Plenary meeting. The meeting allows the organisation’s 193 member-states to convene and discuss processes and regulations, which govern the world’s civil aviation sector. During today’s session Belize’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Abner Andre Perez spoke about Belize’s plan to improve its air space and its venture to develop an airport city hub. According to Minister Perez, his discussion on the project was well received by other member states.

Perez added that Belize is looking to capitalize on its unique geographical location which connects the Americas and the Caribbean. He says that the proposed airport city hub will do just that and seeks to improve trade in the region.
