Belizean/American Arrested for Public Drinking and Assaulted in Police Custody

A Belizean/American who returned to reside in Belize was recently arrested for public drinking. 51-year-old, Paul Diaz told the Court Reporter, Anita Nembhard that he was also assaulted and robbed of forty dollars whilst in Police custody. Here is his account of what happened.

Diaz says he was detained overnight then taken to court where he was fined three hundred and five dollars after pleading guilty.
